Hey Bennie I'm sure thats not a Ferrari. I have no idea what it is though. The grille looks a bit like a BMW but it's not one of those either.

Can anyone in the US help me out ?

Hi Marcus ..you see everything, I saw a red color and an expensive environment , hence I thought Ferrari.

I dropped the question on a board and the following answer was given:

The most convincing reaction (translated):

It is a Pontiac GTO,
in Australia known as Holden Monaco
in England known as Vauxhall
It is a very fast Coupe/Hatchback, faster then it looks !!

Some pics, added by me:

2004 model:

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

It does look similar ..

Edit:
Someone thought it might even be a Mercury Sabre ..never heard from

My best guess would be a Pontiac Grand Prix. I'd say model year 2000 or thereabouts. I'm no car expert by any stretch but my old college roommate used to drive a red Grand Prix. Would hate to be wrong on my first post of all things Smile

Hey thanks a lot Bennie and Irwin Very Happy Vauxhall and Holden are both part of General Motors so I'm guessing Pontiac is too. I've never seen a Vauxhall version of this over here but being a 6 litre I'm not surprised. Maybe Rastus can tell us if there is an Aussie version. The biggest car Holden made when I was living there was a 5 litre V8 Commodore.

Sorry to be so off topic everyone Wink

Thanks very much for your kind welcome, Martina! I will try and post more often as I get acclimated to the site. It goes without saying that it is wonderful that you are quite active in your own forum and that you do your best to acknowledge new posts. Looking forward to being more and more active here.

Marcus, your guess is absolutely correct. Pontiac is part of General Motors here in the states. Their newest model is the G6 which received some publicity recently when Oprah Winfrey decided to give one to each member of her studio audience as a gift. Shocked
