Quick question. Did they ever offer a service where you could switch between the different factions of Alliance and Horde?

Not something I would want to do personally, I just wanted to have my options open since I had moments where I had friends on the opposing faction and going with them meant starting a whole new character.

The reason I ask is I also play WoW and just wanted to see if anyone else plays. Have a couple of characters on several servers. I play mostly Alliance and particularly I play Worgen.

I've dabbled as well, but I like dealing tons of damage despite being weak, so I went with the Rogues.

Nice. I love DPS specced characters on any game, so the quicker you can dispatch your enemies, the better in my eyes, hence why I would never enjoy a tank type.

Well... I'm not sure iffn I want to move to a new server. I enjoy the guild I'm in, and the people I've met on Argent Dawn. That and most "pro" sorts of guilds wouldn't let me join anyway. The only add-on I have is Vent. Which wigs a lot of people out... not really sure why, but it does.

To Aaron and Rune174,

Never really understood the DPS allure (sp?) I've tried it a couple of times, and... *shrug* I dunno. Just isn't my thing. I'm okay at being a tank. However, where my real abilities lie are my awesome abilities to heal and stuff. Well... heal other stuff. I'm horrible, Horrible, HORRIBLE about keeping track of my own hit points.

So... yeah. ))

I have 3 main toons I play right now and a bunch of alts

My oldest toon (who I raced changed during Cata) is a Worgen Resto Druid by the name of Worgnfreemen. Full Cata pvp gear

My other main toons are a BM human hunter named Hellsing and a Sub Night Elf rouge named shadowvixen both of these toons are also full Cata pvp gear as well.

well guess i can say im gonna be playing it again just gpt it installing on me new laptop

out of anything i'll br playing as an undead once more so guess that makes me part of the horde

and i'll probaly play as a dranei or human for allince side

It varies by duration, the longer the period, the less cost per month, think it comes to around $12-15 a month or thereabouts. I killed my subscription recently, but might go back to my gnome lock.

I think it used to be about 20 dollars when I played back about 2 years ago. That is pretty expensive, and to be fair, is about the same as an EVE subscription now.

I've only really played 2 games via MMO. WoW and EVE

My comparison:

WoW-

-Very play intensive, requiring alot of time, but it does give that sense of satisfaction when you do get that extra level up. Can be played solo until you get to the end dungeons.

EVE-

-Not very play intensive, and requires alot of patience in order to survive. Best played with alot of people all the time, but you can solo it if you have intense game knowledge and a high skill level.

Anyway, all things considered, the monthly fee of WoW really isn't that bad. It's the same as a large pizza and a 2 Liter of soda. So.... you miss out on a fast-food meal to play a video game. I would say, iffn you're going to try it, go for the full 6-month subscription of it. 1) It's the cheapest overall. I think it's like $12/month, if you get 6 months in advance. So... for the cost of a brand-new PS3 game, you ge 6 months of WoW. 2) It gives you pleanty of time to try out all sorts of stuff, and really get to plunge your face into it. Blizz had put a lot of the "Just-one-more-turn" effects into WoW... and iffn you get the 1-month subscription, you'll end up playing like 3 or 4 months before you realize it.

And, if I remember correctly, you can play WoW now for free anyway, up to level 20.

Also... I really don't think it's that time intensive. Iffn you want to be super-mondo-delux-ultra obessive about it, yeah... you could easily lose 48 hours worth of free-time a week with leveling and raiding and questing and achieveables hunting. However, iffn you just wanna pop on for a bit and play, you can do quite a bit in just an hour or two on a Saturday.

Well... if nothing else, at least you can now play Team Fortress 2 on your Mac or something. ))
