It's still the safest way to travel. I'm a lot more scared of the morons on the motorways.

Yeah the percentage of motorway accidents is much higher.

Still if it goes wrong it will often go very wrong. Most crashes only have few survivors. We had a plane crash here on a building in the Bijlmer abiut 10 years ago. close to Schiphol airport. It was a total disaster.

All 309 people got out alive. 43 were injured.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4741015.stm

That could have been so much worse.

Yes that could of been much worse. Maybe i wont be so scared of flying in the future. I also heard that only 5% of people in airplane crashes do die. I thought it would be much more then that Cool

That was the first major crash of an Airbus A340-300 since they ere introduced in 1991.

That's a lot safer than dodging poorly trained low intelligence drivers in badly maintained cars on our roads.

Just curious, but why wouldn't you want to be a passenger on one of their flights? (Aside from the pretty girl distraction factor) Very Happy

Nothing like a tv picture of a burning and wrecked aircraft fuselage to pacify that fear of flying either. Shocked

Maybe it is time to look into acquiring your own private jet. Laughing
