I'm surprised by Scarlet's appearance too, but more is better. Randy looks like he has a more brightly colored rival.

Hello everyone!

First of all, my apologies for not being able to give you the first page of the new comic by the 25th of December. It should have been my gift, a nice surprise, but I've been very sick since last friday and I had to go to the hospital.
Sad

Now I'm recovering at home and I'm undergoing cures with antibiotics to take out an irritating and painful virus that took me down, and I couldn't celebrate Christmas as well as I would have liked to.
With a little optimism I think that I'll be fine again by New Year's Eve!

About the new comic I can tell you that it's... epic! woot

We worked on it together, me, Marco and Ronald that gave us some nice ideas , and we're all thrilled to introduce to you this really cool story that will last a whole year, from this Christmas to the next, and that in the end will lead to the introduction of a much more ambitious project linked to this story.

As you might have noticed the comic is set up and structured like a parody of Grand Theft Auto, and not by chance... Idea

Like every extra story worth of respect Scarlett will be the one narrating this new adventure, and the minigoyles will be back!
I love them! They're among my favorite characters!

Also, speaking of characters, you might have recognized Randy, and noticed a new character... Randy's antagonist: Dandy McAroon!
Don't let the appearances deceive you... you'll learn to know him while reading the story.

Aside from Scarlett, the ladies of this story will be Mystic and Lily, that as you know currently is in a relationship with Randy in Raccoon Business, and we absolutely wanted to respect the continuity of M-Lock's story.

Back to Dandy Raccoon, I must tell you that he isn't a character born by chance, but was planned a lot.
First thing, he was supposed to be a "nega" Randy Raccoon (i.e. a negative Randy), and Dandy's surname is McAroon, that is an assonance with the surname Raccoon.
McAroon, though, is also pronounced like the word "macaroon", the famous pastry born in Europe (first in Italy, then exported to France), that they say the queens Caterina dé Medici and Marie Antoinette liked very much, and that became quickly the favorite pastry of the aristocrats, even in England.
Dandy wears the colors of the logo of Bon Bon, colors that are also typical of the macaroon, and his haircut is inspired by a young Franz Liszt.
And that's not a coincidence, since Franz Liszt was a representative of the "dandy" movement!
And do you know what originated the dandyism (i.e. the dandy movement)??
A movement of a century before called "Macaroni" Laughing

The macaronis were precursor to the dandies, who far from their present connotation of effeminacy came as a more masculine reaction to the excesses of the macaroni.
And since Macaroni was also the first name of the macaroons (the pastry), that closes the circle!!
And that's how Dandy McAroon was born!!

Gracious. Though, I guess it should not come as any surprise that there is reason behind his name and look. Its quite a calling card of yours, Vanessa, that everything has some kind of meaning. ^_^ I look forward to it.

And Lily and Mystic? I look forward to seeing how they tie into the new comic as well as Mlocks' comics continue. Will we be seeing the minigoyles just playing with Scarlet or will they be causing mischief around BonBon? Perhaps foiling or refereeing the crime sprees of these two theivius racoonus.

I don't know why, but the name "Dandy McAroon" just makes me keep smirking. I guess it's partly from the idea that I enjoy a good pun or word play.

And I like how this picks up (months) after Scarlett's 2nd comic. Very nice catch, Rikardo. I wouldn't have caught that.
