....And tracking a bit of mud on his bare, clawed feet, the tall wolverine steps in. He shakes, tossing a bit of snow from his rough fur. He then looks about, seeing at how things have changed.
Greetings. Just thought I would drop in and survey the landscape.

Padding his way over to where the fem wolverine sits, he stands near her side. His face as unemotional as ever, yet his eyes shined with a gentle warmth, as he confirmed her last statement
"Yes, they did."
And, from the burlap sack slung over his shoulder, he produces a single red rose, which he places on the table before her. He then turns and walks away. As he does, the corners of his mouth curl ever so slightly into a soft smile, as he whispers to himself...
