I have had the day from hell. I leave my house at 5am to get to the LAX airport. It takes me 7 hours to fly to Houston, TX, (normally a 2hr 45min flight) cause of the bad weather there. We even had to stop at San Antonio, TX to get Gas! lol.

I then can't get on my connecting flight from Houston to Memphis, as all the flights are full. So had to fly home. But then couldnt get a flight back to LA. So had to fly into Orange County

So i get back home at 1am. Its taken me 20 hours of traveling to see 2 airports in Texas and 2 here in Cali. And on top of that, the airline has lost my luggage!!!

Anyways hope you guys had a better day then me!

Martina I'm so sorry to hear that Sad

Maybe you can get compensation off the airlines ? I hope they find your luggage - did you lose anything important ??

Martina, if it's any consolation I had a somewhat similar experience last week trying to get to Billings, MT for my vacation. My connecting flight from Denver was cancelled - the last flight into Billings that day. The best they could do was a flight into Bozeman, MT 6 hours later (or wait until the next day). So I had to take that flight and rent a car (at my expense of course) to drive the 150 miles at 10PM in a rainstorm. I fully expected my luggage to end up God knows where, but it arrived OK. So I arrived at 1:30AM at our hotel. I had about a 20hr day also. Spent 8 1/2 hours at Denver airport, but got there OK and the tour was fantastic.

I've usually been pretty fortunate about flights and connections, but have had problems with this last one and also our connecting flight back in the USA from the Europe trip last June was cancelled too. More running around trying to make arrangements. The airlines aren't very helpful either. So I can certainly sympathize, and it's NOT a lot of fun, that's for sure. Hope you were able to get some rest and get settled back in at home.

Sorry to hear that Lee. Travelling can be a real pain.

I have some good news though! The Airline has found my bag and is delivering it tonight. So that means i can schedule some camshows now Very Happy

As i couldnt before as all my make up etc is in that bag bouncy

Not that it would have been any consolation, but I hope you were in 1st class for some portion of the whole day! If ever there were an excuse to drink, I think this would qualify Wink

At least you were reunited with your bags, who knows where they could have ended up! Shocked

Someone should design a MartinaJet specially for you, and they could supersize it since you don't like little planes. Laughing
