One thing I've always been curious about is the Bon Bon universe's 'tech level' Is it more or less a straight Victorian level, or is it more along the lines of 'steampunk' tech, or a mix of the two? I imagine there are elements of steampunk already, such as Jinx's clockwork toys |

I wondered that myself for quite awhile and I finally came to the train of thought that it was a sort of mix of the two, though more Victorian and less Steampunk. |

Well electricity is invented in the 1800's so I guess they will have lights. |

The tech level could seem Victorian, but like Steampunk could have applications that were never thought of back then.Gives me some ideas for my character, since his knowledge of organ pipe harmonics could be useful if applied creatively. |

This is a good question.
In those days in Italy, channel Italia Uno is transmitting again the anime "Nadia, the secret of blue water" and I am watching it with attention for this reason ( is a Victorian age period, but full of tech!) |

I agree. A more subtle approach in regurads to 19th Century "creative" high tech would be better. After all,I believe the theme of Bon Bon doesn't require anything too "technical" to enjoy. |

Best to keep the tech insanity to a minimum, I guess.
Though I admit, part of me so wants to be in a castle during a ferocious thuderstorm, wearing a stained labcoat, screaming "LIVE! LIVE! GIVE MY CREATION LIFE!" at an ominous figure draped in a white sheet.
I love that book so much... |

As do I, the various movies based on said book were'nt bad either but nothing compares to the first time you read a good book. |

I tend towards one or the other, either strictly fantasy or Rennisance aged, or full out future (I'll take a longsword...or a vulcan cannon, either will do )
As for BonBon, electricity, plumbing, telegraph if not early early telephones, and we've seen they're now on the breakthrough of moving pictures. . . who will star in the first film with Ms. Betty? |

Maybe it will be the little seen Hans and George, Betty did promise them a simultanious appointment after William's first little "adventure" with Violet, after all. |

That gives me an idea, Dr. Fuchs. To Ms. Santano I ask, when was the last time the citizens of Bon Bon were treated to a theatrical production? |

Indeed, if ever. One might suppose that such an occurrence is overdue. Hmm... the wheels in my head are indeed turning now. If smoke should begin to come out of my ears, don't worry. That's perfectly natural. |

I'll keep a bucket of water handy, just in case, and don't worry, I'll make sure it's warm so as it does'nt freeze you. |

That same bear could even play the part of the creation, Drake might be a good choice too, and I would certainly not mind helping out in a musical sense. Foxonian may even join me, seeing as he's an organist. Ooh, the possibilities . |

Ooooooooooh, yeeeeeeessss. The potential is quite vast, given the nature of the city in which it would be preformed....... |

I have a degree in stage design (both for theatre and movies). Therefore I'd like to put in practice what I studied for four years inserting a play in PBB's comic, maybe within the Delight Castle! It's an electrifying idea! But this requires a short story done on the side. In the future it could be done, maybe after Scarlett's story! |

If I may be so bold Ms. Santato, I'm already working on an outline for a script. When it's finished, I would be happy to submit it for your approval. |

Well not at all what I expected when I started this little thread. Can't say I'm disappointed though, far from it to be honest. |

I know the others have stated this before (or something similar), but threads constantly change and morph in surprising directions when you least expect it... |

"Watching a topic thread grow is truly an intresting site to behold". I believe this make four times I've said this now . |
