Hi I guess the Halloween one is a bit late as usual. So I hope this month and the next will have a good idea. And I felt sorry for Ronald. His computer kinda crashed.
So....what will be out plans in Bon Bon this November and December this year? |

Well, I for one am getting into my art state o mind, for I'll be going back to get me a better edumication. ;p
So, I saw Vanessa do this lineart of Violet in a maid outfit, http://vanessasan.deviantart.com/art/Violet-in-maiden-suite-67709139
and I said "I'm gonna color that!" and so I have. Heres the labors of my sleepless night.
Hope you all enjoy! I did this last night...instead of sleeping
Vanessa, if you'd like to put it on a different backgorund (Because I never really do backgrounds) I have the finished Violet saved on a white background. ^_^ Enjoy. |

Thank you everyone. ^_^
I hope Vanessa likes it. I was trying my hand at her style of shading/highlighting. I noticed I fogot to put some blush on her. |

Is there something stopping you from correcting that slight oversight? |

Bravo Labrn, it's impressive seeing your first (I think) attempt at digital coloring. You're going fine. As a last touch on the tail and hair you can use the tool "sfuma" ehm...is "R" on keyboard, with a small tip soft and pressure 70 and pass it up and down on the lighting of the hair and the stripes of the tail. |

Well...I don't use Photoshop like most others around here. ^^; I use an older program, Picture Publisher. However, what does that tool do? I may have something that does the same thing, but named differently.
Crimson, its okay. I think I was gone for nearly a week this last time.
And Ashton, the reason I don't, is once I finish an image, I never go back and do it again, because I'll never be able to finish even small touch ups, because I'll see more things I need to change, and it'll just never get done. >_< Next time perhaps. just remind me. ^_^
Poor Duo, I think you've seen and had to comment on this pic 3 times now. XD |

I can certainly sympathize with that, Labrn. If I wasn't able to tolerate small errors, I'd never get any writing or painting done. And I try my best to never go back to old projects, less I get sucked into redoing everything again.
I really do like the picture, too. Honestly, I like her better without blush. I've never really liked the look of makeup, myself. But I also hate using it, so maybe one is just an excuse for the other. |

Why Kommy, I didn't know you paint. What kind do you do? Portraits, landscapes?
Thank you Kommy. I'll be sure to tone down any glamor if I ever use your character again. ^_^ |

It is mostly of the bad variety, truth be told. I sculpt and model and paint, but I lack the patience and steady paws to consistently work on the small scale I choose. But if push comes to shove, I can generally make good enough looking little knickknacks and figures, then paint them.
Fur is thankfully easy for me sculpt, strangely. |

What scale is that? Are you refering to Warhammer? Its alright, I do those to, and still have a mass amount of unpainted models. *shrugs in a useless manner* I doubt they'll ever fully be done, but thats alright.
As far as fur being easier to sculpt, that doesn't seem to strange to me. Infact, its one of the things that draws most furry artist to do become furry artists. The fact that they don't have to render skin tones and flesh, which to most is a great deal more difficult than rendering fur and colors in an image. |
