These are three actual conversations I have had this past week while we were removing rust from our vehicles, I think they are good examples of the week I had. The red text is me.

Good Day
Hey man how you doing?
Not bad

Bad Day
Dude your bleeding.
Yeah I know
Seriously you should get that looked at

Really Bad Day
Dude you're on fire
yeah i... wait what? SHIT!!!

*no serious harm was caused by the fire*

I think my good and bad days would be reversed. Catching on fire would definitely be the highlight of my day.

some body else caught me on fire... it turns out that WD-40 and sparks thrown by a grinder don't mix very well... actually they mix well but not near people

They actually said "Dude you're on Fire" was it said that casually? Or was there some urgency to his voice?

As for your week,.. dang. Your in for some good Karma soon i think.

Was thinking the same thing... still, that's the wonderful thing about the word "dude", you can express almost entire, complex ideas through simple inflection of that one syllable. If you've never seen the movie Base-ketball, there's a scene where Matt Stone and Tre Parker hold an entire conversation only using the word "dude".

I've very nearly had similar conversations myself...

Actually i own that movie, it is quite funny. Whats better is i have a Co-worker, and he and I will sit there for like ten minutes saying "Dude" to eachother, knowing what we both mean. It is quite the interesting word.

As The Joker once said "Ah, what a brave new world....that has such yutzes in it." No offense, but I thought it fit. If anyone takes offense at this, just say so and I'll remove it.

I'm sorry Ashton but I have to take offense to that. I mean, which Joker? The Jack Nickolson movie Joker, the Heath Ledger movie Joker, or (in my opinion the best) the Mark Hammil animated Joker? How am I supposed to get the right feel for the line if I don't know which one said it?

P.S. And no, I'm not a comic book geek. What would make you think that? whistling

The Mark Hammil animated Joker. Specifically, from Batman Beyond: Return of The Joker.

If it helps you find it, in case you ever want to see it, it's one of the animated Batman movies. One of my all time favorite childhood movies, actually.

A software engenieering student bad days are a bit strange so I'd rather not post them, unless you get what "I put the enterprise on an E/R the exam day" means Razz
But I have bad days, yes, I do. Constantly, but hey! They are what makes good days good! If all days wold be good, all days would be just normal -_-
But my worst day was when a baby elephant sat on my left foot >_< I had several surgeries (sp?) done on my foot Sad

I love real-life applications of Murphy's Law:

"Whatever can go wrong will go wrong, at the worst possible time, and in the worst possible way."

Geez, you were in for a scorching time, at least until your buddy noticed the flareup. I think the worst possible way to catch on fire is to not know about it until it's too late to put it out.

The ability to eat concertina wire and spit napalm? Twenty points if you get the reference. Very Happy

Here's a hint: It's a quote from a Clint Eastwood movie character.
