Sorry if my last message appeared gruff. Didn't mean for it to come across that way=)
Apparently Vanessa didn't approve of me staying away from the forums, and I've been told by others not to be shy, which I'm not=) Please forgive me if I play the stalker, but I really like art and anything to do with it, so I'm pretty friendly to those in the art community.
That said, if the PBB staff needs any help writing, formulating stories, working new characters into the existing story, formatting comic pages, or even basic coloring and illustration work, hit me up. I work for free as long as you say thanks and show my effort is appreciated. I'd love to collaborate with some of the artist on this site. Be forewarned that I'm also doing free work for other paysites as well though, but it's all just play for me. I'm not being competitive or anything, I just like art. |

er, okaaaay... that's an "interesting" way to introduce oneself to the forum... still, it's good to see new people showing up, especially artists. I'll be the first to say "howdy and don't be a stranger".
I suppose you might find that this is one of the few drama-free places on the Internet, everyone pretty much gets along. Let's just hope it stays that way... |

Don't mind him Johnny. I can vouch for Sinister.
Of coarse, thats if you trust my word. He's a friend from FA that came over...and I'm guessing we may see more of you since FA is down, eh Taz?
Though, I agree my friend, I too love to help this site out best I can. I've been pitching the idea of me helping Vanessa with coloring and such all the time, though I can understand her disposition. Her and Marco pretty much do all the work themselves. If you want to help with a comic, it'd be your own or a fan fic comic, such as the one Carrie was working on.
Even still, good to see you pop up once again. ;P |

I, for one, trust your word as much as I can, having never met you and never having met the one you're vouching for. |

With a statement like that Ashton, one might think you were a man of the cloth, having so much faith. |

I still don't know how to work these forums. How do you post a specific reply to a single comment? It's looks like the reply button only replies to the opening comment. I'd just like to know how to reply to specific comments people make, rather than just having it posted at the bottom of the comment string. |

Whatever reply you make, it will appear at the bottom of the list. If you want to reply to something specific, use the quote button next to someone's reply, delete what you don't want to reply to, and reply to the rest. Here, I'll show you.

"Oh? And who's going to vouch for you?"
See, easy. (and no harm meant, Labrn, I stand by what I said before, I just used that as an example) |

Yeah, I'm just trying to get the specifics of the comment system worked out, since they aren't posted in the FAQ.
So, when I wrote my last comment, did you get a notification about a new comment? I'm guessing that comment button at the very top (and one at the bottom) just reply to the last comment that was made. I just want to make sure that when I post a comment, I'm replying to the right person, and that they know I'm replying.
Thanks for the help though. I really appreciate it, since I'm not used to this format of blogging at all. Kind of an odd system, and it would help to have a few more obvious options and choices=) I may talk to the admin. about that. |

Yeah, I'm just going to ask the site admin., since they're the ones who asked me to start participating on the forums in any case. I like to be friendly, but this system is a little strange. Don't think I can do much chatting at this rate=p |

I've used this style of message board for quite a while now, and yes, it does take some getting used to, but once you understand how to use the BBCode it should get easier. It also helps to know some HTML, but isn't really necessary...
The easiest way to reply to a specific person is, like Ashton said, to simply hit the "quote" button at the top of their post. You'll end up with the entire text of their message within your reply, so if you want to cut down anything extraneous you can, just as long as you don't accidentally erase the code tags (which should look like [ quote ] and [ /quote ], without the spaces) |

And then it's just up to the person you're quoting to scan through the comments when they can and see if you posted a comment, or do they get notified via their regular email outside of PBB? That's pretty much the only question I have now. I get a notification every time you comment, but I'm guessing that is because you're replying to my original opening, introductory comment. |

Aside from the regular notification email, they'll just have to wait and see if they've been quoted or not. |

That's important to know, so that I won't expect someone will be instantly notified about my comments, and that I'll need to check my own comments on other forum discussions for replies from other users.
This entire discussion should be in the FAQ section. I bet you now you've gone through all the trouble explaining it to me, that someone else will turn around and ask you the same thing
I really appreciate it though. Thanks for the help |

Also, you'll only recieve one notification when theres been a reply to a comment you've made.
For example, I don't visit as often myself, and by the time I follow up when I get the notification, theres nearly a whole new page of comments to scan through.
Now, I'm sure we'll see you more often SinisterTaz. Perhaps you just needed a bit more interaction with the other members here. Perhaps with some of the female members? *opens her little fan and looks on to see Sinister's reply* |

Why Ashton, do I detect a hint of jealousy? *chuckles*
Also, have no fear Ashton, I don't mind being used for an example. Infact, it can be quite a good thing to volunteer to be made an example around here. |
