I wasn't certain if this was discussed in the past, when it came to Iris' appearence, but was the age that the girls can be ever discussed?
I'm not referring to whats the legal age, but how long would the typical working girl stay? Loucille seems to be the oldest, but how long would one of the girls stay until they retire or are deemed too old to continue to work?
Such as Periwinkle and a few of the girls we saw in the flashback, would they still be working at the current date of 1895? Do they eventually retire once they hit a certain age, or only when they've acquired the amount to buy their contract? |

I've been thinking of this as well.
Periwinkle was working at the Castle in 1980, meaning that she was at least 28 when she introduced Red to the pleasures of sex. I'm personally guessing that she was around 30 in 1890.
Lily, I'd guess was 27 when she had sex with Red, since she was not old enough to dress in a sexy outfit or work as the other girls, when we saw her working as a maid 10 years earlier.
We haven't seen either of those in the 1895, so I'm thinking that they've retired.
Edelweiss will be interesting to see return. I have the impression that she's in her early thirties in the 1880 flashback, which would make her mid forties or something in the present of Bon Bon.
I don't really mind it if some of the girls (even the sexy Lily) have retired, because I like that we're seeing different girls during different times. But on the other hand, I don't think that there would be any real reason for the girls to retire just because they aren't in their twenties anymore. I personally like Edelweiss for her maturity, and for my own avatar I've so far picked the age of 34. I also personally prefer the older Betty, but it's interesting to see her in different times. |

I don't think Periwinkle was that old when she first laid with Red.
However, we may very well see some of them here at the Ball. Seeing how it'll be more of a formal occasion.
Plus, theres no telling if they due retire or not, true. There are always gentlemen out there who prefer the company of an older lady. |

And there are many services an older professional could have to offer, aside from continued personal service. Training new recruits springs to mind. |

Not to mention that there can always be older patrons who visit. We know Mr. Blue doesn't go there now, but there could very well be other wealthy older men who still visit. Be a "sugar daddy" for some of the girls there. |

I know I'm fond of women lightly aged a bit more than myself. |

True, but I don't think I've seen that very often. Most of the furry artwork I look at is really rich with colors.

Oh, of coarse the art will be. Though I doubt my fur will be this shiny and black a hundread years from now. |

You have some problem or other with gray, Ms. Mystic? |

I don't think that was a play on you Ashton, but more of, for example, if Martin's beard and hair suddenly start to be as gray as you.
If anything, your one of the lucky ones that the process of age won't show that well on. |

Oh come now Ashton. What with the color of my own fur and the color of my brother's, I'd think you'd notice we enjoy contrasts and shades of gray. |

I know. I was just teasing you. Heaven knows you've done it enough to everyone else that it's warranted you get teased too. |

I also bet dyes are always popular, too, for I bet even furry women don't care to let their age show much. Or maybe they're just lucky enough to not go gray.
Of course, I'm not lucky. I see a couple gray hairs already... Cursed genes. Males at least always look far better with a bit of gray. Or a lot of gray, in the case of Ashton. |

The question then comes in mind, will only a furry characters hair gray and whiten, or will the rest of their fur turn as well?
If its just our hair, I think I'm in the clear of staying radiant and young. *teasingly chuckles behind her fan* as well as our most courteous and kind Ashton. |

I would imagine that it would be similar to the traditional animal's aging patern Mystic. The hair, sure, but other than the usual areas that animals show their age by gray fur I don't think their entire pelt would change. |

I would surmise that such a fine shiny coat would lose it's luster, Labrn. Probably turn a duller shade. That's the theory anyway.
On a separate note: Yay! I have time to post again! And I had something relevant to post! Double Joy!
