I think Gem Swap was the first game I played here. I've always loved Bejewelled, so I was drawn to it. I like the timer - it makes it more of a challenge - though I do wish there was a pause button for those times when something else takes precedence over a game. |

You can pause sorta in between levels. |

*giggles* thank you, sir. And I was curious... mind if I ask you if you have written the code for the game yourself? if so, you have my appreciation. The fact the game NEVER leaves you without moves is someway awesome. |

Yes we wrote the game code ourselves- completely from scratch. I played bejewel alot and enjoyed it.
The game code has a check in place to make sure there is always a move. |

Ahh, I was suprised that I could always make a move how long did it take you to wrote the whole code? Which language did you use? (I learned a bit Java at Uni, but I forgot the most of it. We tried to program Settlers of Catan as our final project but the user interface didn't work right, so we failed ) |

The code was done in Shockwave Lingo. Took about 2 months to complete the code. Alot of testing and research. |

Yes, most excellent work. -claps as well so Taliesin doesn't feel silly-
((By the way, Taliesin, where did you get the name? I recognise it as the title of a book I've read..)) |

*chuckles and purrs softly as he wags his scaly tail* Oh, thanks for asking, sir. You've probably read a book about Mage Merlin as it was his name according to some legends. Taliesin was in fact a welsh bard of the celtic legends, the name means "Bright frown" and his real name was Gwion - I use such a name for another character of mine. So, it's all about celtic legends, here |

Ah. No, in fact, the book I read was the first in a series about Merlin and Arthur, and all that sort of thing. Taliesin, according to the book, was Merlin's father. He was said to be the last of the "true" bards. Or at least, that's how it was in the book I read. If you're interested, the author is Stephen Lawhead.
Anyway, we digress. It is a fun game, well programmed, and pretty graphics (the gems as well as the obvious). |
