| oops hehe i know i turned that bugger of a lil while ago. wonder how it got back on. Ok i had it turned off completely (its the windows firewall it doesnmt work anyways) and still the same thing. |

i figured it out i had installed xp service pack 2 ( if only i had known better at the time) wich is pure unadulterated evil in its purest form.
I reformated my hd now and all is good. |

XP Service Pack 2 works fine for me...
I leave the firewall enabled! It would be stupid to disable the firewall.
I used to use Norton Firewall. (That is the only thing I'd recommend if you don't have service pack2).
Since I have service pack 2 - I disabled norton.
XP SP2 works fine with our login system. No need to disable it when you login to Vixine.
