Has anyone thought of doing a legitimate dating sim that is more than just a fuckfest? I even had a tagline set up if I could get it set up. The line is...

"Mate. Meet. Maintane." Would that catch anyone's attention?

What are your ideas to go along with that tagline?

I've seen 2-3 different dating sim type of games.

One is the Hentai cdrom style, where its just a series of 'choose your own adventure' questionnaires.

There was an american 'real girl' version called "Man Enough" that I bought a while back. Again, just a series of pick and choose multiple choic questions where you must get one of them right to progress down some path.

The other type of game variation, has a bit more of an RPG element, where you must earn points to improve your stats. Strength, Charm, Intelligence. These stats then are determined which type of girl you can start to date off the bat. You distribute your points at the start of the game, and you earn them as you go, and the game has a time frame that you must win over one of the girl before the time is up (X days to complete your goal). As you learn about each girl and find out what type of guy they want, you start leveling the stats that fits their needs.

I like the 2nd variation better as its more interesting and challenging then a click fest.

A third game type I've seen is just a variation of the above 2 combination. Mixing in some other type of game, (shooter or strategy/tactics) with a story mode that is pick and choose the dialogue. Wing Commander3 was sort of a dating sims, in the sense that you decide if you want to end up with the mechanic (Ginger Lynn Allen) or the co-wingman Angel.

I think the tagline would be better as...

"Meet. Mate. Maintain." Smile

More then a 'fuckfest', cuz of the maintain aspect.

The funny thing is I thought I had it stated as "Meet, Mate, Maintain"

But the whole thing would be that...
1) you meet up with a few other furs and see what happens.
2) you decide who you want to try and woo
3) you begin fucking and dating the fur that you want to be with
4) you try to actually keep the relationship instead of just moving on

HOWEVER, if you do want to be the playboy/playgirl type and put notches on your bedpost, just becareful because your rep will become public within the world of the game. Just like in real life.

a sim date game is exactly what the name implies it's a simulation on how to date. so dont do a very good job at it ant then there's others that are very good i can name a few if any ones intrested is some sim dates that's not all about fucking.

if you want good dating sims i would not those are very poorly done and not that great if you want to try some that will have you thinking about what to do and who you like more try 2 hart, love selection, Figures of Happiness, and other titles form japan there the best

well you could Google them but to be truthful i got them from my friend if you have mIRC i could zip them and transfer them to you that way it would be very easy and hassle free.

Thousand Arms! I thought I was the only one who even knew about that game. I thought that game was a blast! ATLUS rules! Almost as much as Nippon Ichi.

Anyway, not sure of the koshernes of this, but... Peach Princess / G- Collections offer a lot of dating sims. Most of them are adult, yes, but... it might give you an idea for stories, multiple endings, characters, etc.

OH! Another sim-type game would be the Persona Series as well.

well in some of date sim games i get Close friend and rarely lover, but it the things i pick that do that, im still looking for a very good one. sofar newgrounds have afew even if they are lacking.
