Wow. I'm gone for a week and there's over a page of posts to catch up on. Let me start with a very belated merry christmas and an early happy new year. Can't say when I'll be able to post again as work, my main source of internet connectivity, has gone through some major upheavals so if I'm not around for awhile just think of it as a natural hibernation cycle. But yeah, that's about it for the update. Take care everyone. |

I am sure that some of the gents here would not mind. (me for example.) Even though it might not be like him but at least you won't feel left out. |

Oh, I know there's never a short supply of lovings from the men here Drofgod. But authentic bear hugs from a bear are a real treat. |

True, while some of us can hug with great strength, the fact remains that we are not bears. Still, I suppose a substitution is better than nothing. *picks up and hugs Mystic* Or am I wrong? |

*Quietly escapes the grip of Xebulon with the help of Lidia, then looks upon the curled up Henk* Aww, now isn't that just precious. |

Yes, but make sure that you're back when he wakes up. I don't want a grumpy grizzly stomping around the town (especially if he is not a morning person *g*) |

It's true. I mostly cuddle my pillow more than I cuddle my stuff bear when I go to sleep. (Yes, I still sleep with a stuff animal and I'm not a shame to say it!) |

You two are'nt the only ones. I still have most of, if not all, my old baby blankets and a closet full of my old stuffed animals, one of which I still keep on my bed 24/7. Well, a closet full of half my old stuffed animals. I gave half of them to my little half-brother right after he was born. |

Awww. that's sweet.
I remember my first giant stuff teddy bear when I was 13. I name it Cleo and I love that bear ever so much. Then, when I was 15 in my freshman year in High School, there was a Christmas donation program call "Toys-for-Tots" you know the one that people give toys to the children who does not have much. I was thinking really hard about it and I want to do it because giving a child, that don't have much stuff, a toy will make that child happy, so I decided to donate my giant teddy bear. I remember clearly on that day. Before I put Cleo on the box of the "Toys-for-Tots", I put a green ribbon around the bear's neck, because I believe the ribbon will make the bear look cute. I hugged it as much as I could and silently whisper to it's little, round ear, "I hope you make that special child happy and hopefully he or she will take extra care of you. I'll miss you."
Wow....I'm so sorry, remembering that day....I truly miss Cleo. It's selfish of me to think of wanting her back, but it is for the best because there is a child out there who need Cleo more than I do.

its ok Lidia its ok *pats her on the back in a gentle and soothing manner*
to be honest with you i can not stand to watch those things on TV about little kids not having anything but the shirt on there backs and even that looks like it wont last for much longer it makes me cry every time i see one.
i donate anything i can to charity in hopes that i can make at least one family or kid happy. i gave a lot of things that a normal kids would want to hold on to, i just cant stand to see a little kid with less fortune than my own (now I'm not rich or any thing i just work hard to keep what i do have).
and i think it was very nice of you to do what you did and i am shur that you made one little kid the most happiest kid in the world with it. |

I agree with Peter. Sometimes it's the very same stuffed friends we grow up with that makes some other child feel just like we did by having them. It's okay for someone to get teary eyed about giving up something they grew up with. But it's knowing they'll make some lucky child feel special that gives them a place in your heart.
That's quite a jumbled mess, but that's how best I can describe giving up my old friends. |

Just thought you all might want to see this.

The "Santa Train" runs through Appalachia, giving-out donated toys and candy to thousands of families along the route; many of whom have hit hard times. I've seen it once before, and the sheer joy that emanates from the faces gathered around that train is something that you really just can't forget. |

Everyone's got their own kind of security blanket. Mine isn't a pillow, but a pillow case. As the pillows grow old or get ruined, the pillow case is cleaned, sewn up from any damages, and stuffed with new pillows. Yes, Pillows!
Its a half-body pillow, about 3 feet long. ^_^ |

Oooh, I got one like that, too. :3
It's blue and fluffy, but it got a rip hole at the end, and I keep forgetting to sew it up >__<. |

-buys a bear costume and puts it on- How about this?
I still have most of my stuffed toys, but almost all of them are packed away in boxes somewhere. I never really had one in particular that I always slept with, apart from for a while a giant duck that I dressed in my sister's old silk pyjama top. |

I'm really jealous at you. I had to trow my teddy bears away when I was 15. And I mean all of them. Now I have only a empty bed and my pillow.
Maybe that's the reason I like Xebulon avatar so much. |

Ah well. I'll just stick to giving tiger hugs then. Actually, that reminds me of one toy I used to sleep in bed with a lot. It was a huge white tiger; you could put batteries in for it to roar/purr (I can't actually remember which) when you patted it on the head. |
