This is not my page. I found it while looking up something else today but wanted to share it since so many people have been talking guns.
http://unclebear.com/?page_id=563
If you scroll down on this page you'll see 4 PDfs in the Ultimate Western Gear Archive. 2 for handguns, 1 rifles, 1 shotgun. The last few pages of the pdfs are pictures of the guns. |

The first gun I ever owned was a replica Colt Naval Arms revolver. I still have it, so that is a gun that will always be special to me.
The next gun I want is a replica Sharps rifle much like the one Tsavo has hanging behind the bar. Just a massive weapon and the destruction it caused was just impressive. Anything meant to take down a buffalo doesn't play around.
All that said, the gun I'd most like to have but won't be able to is the AA-12 shotgun. It is one sexy gun and I'd love to just be able to take it out on a range one day. |

Favorite gun:
http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh14-e.htm
S.P.A.S.-12
Firepower, speed, and versatility, all in one sexy package...
...notice the hook at then end of the fold-out stock, that hook turns to the left/right and hooks underneath the tricep so that the weapon can be comfortably aimed/fired with a single arm...
...when you absolutely, positively need to kill every zombie in the room...
...accept no substitutes... |

This topic should probably be moved to the General Discussion forum.
Now, when you say our favorite gun of all time, are you talking about any gun or one that we've actually owned and/or fired? |

It probably should be moved. I posted the first link because there was so much discussion about period firearms and those PDFs have some great info and pictures. |

ya i know i was just curious about your fav guns and i mean one you would like to own....but if you already own it then that's cool to just what ever....
my favorite gun would have to be the M60 just because of the fact that you can mod it to do what ever you want....in the aspect of light machine guns... |

((Hey for you gun-nuts, I have a quick question. Where can I look up old-model Winchester shooting rifles? I want Eustice to be one of those really-long barreled weapons, with a scope... kinda like the Mexican uses in the remake of 3:10 to Yuma.)) |

I'm more interested in the technology behind the weapon really. |

hmm you have a good point there...the tech behind a gun is what gets me all....worked up if you will about them...an i just have to say that a lot of the new models of guns out there are really lacking in the tech department...it's like there getting more and more simpler then more high tech. |

Sometimes simple is good. Simple is easy to learn and maintain and costs less to produce. Depends on what you're using it for, really.
And if you haven't seen this yet, you might get a goo dlaugh or three out of it.

The Mosin Nagant battle rifle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosin_nagant & http://world.guns.ru/rifle/rfl03-e.htm) was the main military rifle of the Soviet Union from around 1890 until shortly after WWII. It is popular for it's ruggedness, the power of it's cartridge and it's abundancy among other things. The later (WWII) variants could be considered on par with the Mauser k98 and the M1 Garand. |

i have to question the whole aspect of that gun....a pistol that fires shotgun rounds must have a bad kickback to it...let alone some bad accuracy to boot...i mean why not just get the .50 DE...it would do the same thing... |

it only fires .410 shotshells... kick isn't terrible, hell, you'd probably get more kick from the .45 colt rounds...
The barrel of the gun is rifled... unlike most shotguns... this causes the shot pattern to spread quickly, making it ideal for close range...
I've asked around about this gun, and they tell me that the downside is that it loses a lot of accuracy after 10 yards... but within those ten yards it'll take off limbs... and considering it's a home defense weapon, the encounters I'm going to run into are going to be well within 10 yards...
It's a pocket cannon... and i like overkill...
...it's even more fun with slugs!!
Especially when you consider the motto these days is, "If you shoot an intruder, shoot him twice." If he lives, he'll come back and sue your ass for everything you're worth... doesn't matter that he was armed and dangerous...
...I only wish they had one shooting .12 gauge shells... |

...you can mod those types of guns ezy...and i still stay by my statement....if you want a hand cannon then get the .50 cal DE... |

The guy who's worried about kickback is suggesting a .50 DE...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFJjaj7pXsA
While I am by no means diss'n the stopping power of a .50 DE, I enjoy the concept and force of the Judge...
...not to mention I can pick up a judge for about $350...while DEs are selling for over a grand...
...and Desert Eagles are just cliche... |

Another problem with the Desert Eagle is for .50 calibur it's like a dollar per shot. The big thing about the Taurus Judge is it's versatility. |

Oh yea... about that...
...I don't know if you live in America or not, but Obama is wants to raise the price of ammunition by %500........... yes, that's five hundred percent!!
I was in the sporting goods store the other day, and the clerk told me that the previous day alone, they had made over $6000 in 9mm sales... people are gettin' worried...
...I'm sorry, he's a gun control freak... hopefully nobody listens to him... |

What Demotratic president isn't? Even if that does manage to get passed I seriously doubt that prices would stay that way for too long. Even if they did you can always order ammo online from somewhere else that isn't subject to that kind of pricing. |
