| I've just been informed by my employer I'm being put on indefinite layoff starting next Monday. I'm hoping to be able to keep up my membership here however, and it's extremely likely I'll be called back when business picks up. Keep your fingers crossed for me and if I'm unable to keep up here, I'll give warning. |

Place I worked for is kinda odd, metal stamping and forming, welding, enamel painting, and light manufacturing all under one roof, does a lot of appliance work for companies like GE, Maytag, and Bosch, plus subassemblies for tractors, like grilles and fuel tanks. Which was good for us- while the appliance market is really bad right now, there was enough work coming in on the tractor and of the business to keep us going, but now that's slowing down as well.
I'm fairly high up on the seniority list of those laid off (7 out of 55) soI should be one of the first folks called back, hopefully sooner than later. Meanwhile I put in for unemployment, and hope things pick up enough soon that they need some of us back.
Oh, almost forgot- I worked in the large stamping press end of the business.  |

| I freind of mine got the same deal when the factory he worked for that does enameling for industrial tools had a drop in it's orders.I wish you the best of luck and hopefully,things will turn aorund soon. |
