What kind of food does your character enjoy? Is your character a herbivore or a carnivore?
Niam is a carnivore. Niam prefers to eat meat when possible, usually with a side of starchy food such as pasta, rice or potatoes, and eats only a small amounts of vegetables as a side if he can. Having spent a few years in china he has grown accustomed to Asian cuisine and enjoys using chopsticks, and drinks Jasmine Tea, of which he usually carries some with him, although he will suffice with English teas if his preference is not readily available. Niam, being a cat, has a weakness for fish, especially smoked salmon.
What does your character like to eat and drink? |

I'm not quite sure right now, but I believe that I've been told that the people of Bon Bon are herbivores, carnivores or omnivores based on their species.
So Constance is a herbivore. I guess that'll mean a lot of salad and bread and such for dinner, but she also loves fruit. Especially sweet ones such as grapes, raspberries or strawberries. Fruit dipped in honey or chocolate is something she likes to eat, or to serve when having guests.
As for what she drinks, it's mostly water during the day, with a glass or two of milk in the morning. In terms of alcohol, she prefers wine or champagne. She might also drink coctails, though I really don't know how popular such were at the time, and only coctails that are light on alcohol. She doesn't drink beer or strong alcohol like whisky.
Interesting topic BTW |

i guess James is a carnivore but i don't think he would mind switching up and eating some salad or some fruit and will always enjoy a glass of wine. oh that brings up another question. since im a canine if i eat chocolate do i Die |

The first Bartenders Guide published in 1865 lists cocktails in it according to what I've read.

Ewan is an omnivore with a heavy preference towards seafood (WHO COULD HAVE GUESSED ). He is an absolute sucker for a big dish of king crab legs with lots of garlic butter. Otherwise, he'll eat anything put in front of him. He does try to keep healthy though, and is not really a fan for sugar-sweet food. Vegetables and fruits are usually found instead of chocolate and confections in his books.
When it comes to drinks, and I know this will surprise you all to hell, he is usually drinking some form of alcohol. Whether it be beer, wine, spirits, or a cocktail, Ewan usually has one or the other to accompany his meals. He prefers water to anything else non-alcoholic. Abhors hot drinks. |

Marx is a very open and exploratory person when it comes to food.
his travels across europe have given him a chance to try the cuisine from many different lands, and he does'nt have a preference to any particular type..... provided it isnt to spicy.
an omnivore with a bit of a weakness for friuts and anything sweet. prefers formal dining with others, rather than casual dining alone.
as for drinks, he is fine with a simple glass of water during his smaller meals, as well as some form of alchohol as a casual beverage. during his larger meals, he prefers a glass of fine wine, from the country and town he is currently touring. |

Johnny is also an omnivore (much like his four-legged cousins), and will eat just about anything handed to him. When you're on the run from the law, you tend to learn not to be too picky of an eater. Still, he prefers a well cooked meal over wild berries and roadkill any day.
When it comes to meat, he prefers game-fowls (like quail, pheasant, or duck) over chicken, venison or buffalo over beef, and wild boar over domesticated pork. He also has a love of rabbit and lamb. He loves fruits and nuts of all kinds, and is more than happy to sample a new variety whenever he visits a new land. His favorite vegetables tend to be corn, as well as squashes, beans, and peppers of all varieties. He's not a big fan of most "leafy" vegetables, like lettuce or cabbages. He also does not have a very big sweet-tooth, generally preferring naturally sweet treats like fruit over candies. He also isn't a fan of cakes, but loves pies of all varieties (mostly fruit pies).
While on the run from the law, he spent a fair amount of time in the Southwest along the Mexican border and became enamored with Mexican cuisine and its spices. It is a love that he still holds onto to this day. He also developed a taste for Chinese (mostly Cantonese) food, both during his wandering days in the American West (when he would encounter the occassional Chinese settlement) and during his short visit to Hong Kong years later. More recently, after having spent a fair amount of time in Bon Bon and Italy, he's acquired a new love for Italian food.
His main beverages of choice are usually water, beer, or whiskey (bourbon). He also likes vodka, scotch whisky, applejack, sake, and rum. Of course, after all of that alcohol, he'll go right back to the water, or even coffee, though he only seems to drink coffee when he actually has a hangover. |

I think would be a omnivore, enjoys fruits like apples and pears but I think he would also like meat products like hamburger and chicken. |

Well, in my original story, my character was going to be dating Meg Hazelnut, so I presumed that she would be vegetarian as she is a squirrel. My character switched to becoming a vegetarian out of respect. |

Tadelesh, being a tiger, is a carnivore. Tigers, and Tadelesh as well, do eat some fruits now and then, but mainly as a source of fibre rather than as a substantial part of the diet; so the staple would be meat and fish. A nice big, juicy steak is ideal.
When it comes to beverages, Tadelesh drinks like a fish. He enjoys all sorts of alcohol, especially vodka and whiskey. He's also partial to caffeine-infused drinks such as coffee. |

Ther are wild and domesticated feral animals in Bon bon's vertion of the world. An example is the horses the regualarly pull carages, carts, and wagons. |

It has been discussed before. The characters are, essentially humans, and then there are animals. Just think of the walking, talking animals as humans, and it won't seem as weird. |

actually, thinking back on an older thread, i remember that it was mentioned that the "people" in bonbon's world ate a diet similiar to what there four legged cousins would.....
so... a raven, like marx, would probobly consume something like, bugs and worms.... huh, guess that means no formal dining in public, for my fursona, else some poor souls get so freaked out and leave the room in disgust(some people have no manners)
amazing that i only remembered this recently |

I'd just treat your raven character as having an omnivorious, mostly high-protein diet. Whether he prefers grubs and nightcrawlers to a well-cooked filet mignon is entirely up to you. After all, you're a "civilized" raven, right?
And to answer questions about the "two-leggeds eating the four-leggeds", just think of it in a historical context. During this point in time, Darwin's work and theories pertaining to evolution are still fairly new, and likely the vast majority of the furry people in Bon Bon's universe don't like to think of themselves as being as closely related to their non-sentient relatives as they really are. That's why a cat violinist likely won't have any qualms about what his violin strings are made of, or a lady cow about what her stylish leather boots are made of. |
