More than just coffee as a fair trade product. This place has some chocolate that is like nothing you have or will ever taste from the corporate production world.

And what is dis sugar that burns slowly...is it good for cooking? natural?

Is it as sweet as U?....sorry, couldn't resist
   |
It's called ZERO by Whole Foods.

It's natural and gets absorbed slowly by your body.

 It's great!

| Thanks Rufus...I will check out those coffee makers.
I just bought my French Press today....but I had a hard time finding one without plastics touching the hot liquid.

Please let me know if anyone finds a coffee mug that is BPA free....that is another hard one to find.

| Garden harvest starting to come in. Red Onions, Bell Peppers, Anaheim chiles, new potatoes, sweet corn, tomatoes not quite ripe yet (next week?), green beans by the bucket full, sweet peas growing about 7-8 feet tall and loaded with pods, will have enough grapes for nearly 100 bottle of wine this year. All 100% natural and organic. No fertilizers, no pesticides, no herbicides.
Have heard neighbors saying their cherries are ripe. Apples at my sister's house are just starting to ripen. Was in Wisconsin last weekend and picking and eating wild raspberries and blackberries in the woods and along the ditches. MMMmm MMmmmm

| Do you have to rub it in Rufus?? Good for you!! You're an inspiration to us all. I hope to be a gardener like you one day.
As for my sugar recommendation... I have a correction to make: It's actually called,

 Organic Zero by Wholesome Sweetner.

Again it's 100 % natural but better for you than any other kind of sugar.

You know. I think I saw that brand at my local PW market. I'll give it a shot. My order of Ethiopian coffee should be here hopefully by next week.

| Well, I just have to brag a little.
Entered some of my garden produce in the local county fair.

Green beans got a purple ribbon (best of all green beans at the fair)
Peas got a purple ribbon (see above)
Rhubarb got purple ribbon (see above)
Cilantro got purple ribbon (see above)
Anaheim chiles got purple ribbon (see above)

In addition to a purple ribbon, my wine grapes got Best of Show in the open horticultural division. That's of all the fruits and vegetables entered from all the various classes - they were adjudged - the single best thing at the fair.

| Wow, That's AMAZING Rufus!! CONGRATS for sure!!!
Okay, I'd like to give my evaluation on the Berkey Stainless Steel pitcher. It sucks. If I would have known how much of a headache it was going to be I would have never spent the money on it. BUT I did find a great BPA free affordable filtered water pitcher. It's called Zero Water. The taste of the water is great!! Zero Water is the best filtered water system that I've found....excluding whole house systems.

| If anyone has a birthday party, a BBQ, a get together or anything like that.....then please consider purchasing disposable plates, cups, utensils made of potato or corn.
Here is a place where you can get them for a good price.

 http://letsgogreen.biz/pages/plates_cups.html?gclid=CIeV3suh8ZoCFSMSagodTTSwJA

I just got the cups with the label on them that says that they are made with corn.

I also bought the plates & forks.

These are not only better for the planet BUT they are SAFER for you to eat off of. (No chemicals)

Also, if you've been having an ant/pest problem this summer like ME!!! then please consider purchasing an organic ant killer. Here's where you can purchase this for an affordable price.

 http://letsgogreen.biz/pages/pesticides/ecosmart.html

It's safer for YOU to use and it's safer for our planet/water system.

Also, if you'd like to try to raise funds for a small group/organization/school you can sign up to lets go green.biz program and your group can earn 25% on every sale your organization brings in. Pretty COOL!

| I know what you mean, MT! I'm guilty of using Raid....even in my home....because I have not found anything organic/natural till NOW!
I REALLY hope this stuff works! I never want to use pesticides again. It is so harmful for us and for our water system too.

I have never seen so many ants in my life as those present this year. I have been doing some grading of high spots from "plugs" of soil placed into spots we have moved trees from and filling of unplugged holes and just some general leveling around the orchards and groves. EVERY square foot of earth is simply FULL of ants.

Well, with 80 acres of trees - I think I'll just let the ants do their thing out there - don't have any in the house

I like the fact that the labels have countries of origins, but I'd rather they label it with organic/nonorganic farming processing and biodegradable packaging info. I don't see a way around curbing the CO2 output for shipping since food has to get to where it's needed. I'm sure once we get to more earthly friendly fuel, the CO2 cost will drop.

| Here's an idea for raising your own chickens and gathering your own eggs if you are "city folk". It's called a "Chicken Tractor" - portable/movable chicken keeper that you move around from place to place on your yard. Most cities allow you to keep up to 4-6 small animals as "pets" (including chickens). Check your local ordinances.
 http://home.centurytel.net/thecitychicken/tractors.html

PS - Chickens eat insects - like ants,.

Wow. Even when you try to do the right thing, certain (people / companies) still will try to manipulate you, for their bottom line.

I wonder how many other companies are practicing similiar tactics, since they know people are trying to be more eco-conscience consumers.

Eco-products are a large growth market and it appears some are going to do whatever it takes to get a piece of this action.

 Sincerely,

 YDB

It's too bad people choose to profit from good intentions. These guys are cut from the same mold as those putting melamine in milk and lead in pepper.

Don't think my neighbors would appreciate the morning call of roosters cockadoodooling (verb I made up) at 5 in the morning. Nah, chickens deserve to free range. That way, you don't get too emotionally attached for when the end comes for them.

| You're so funny MT!! When you want your chickens to produce eggs that you would want to eat....then you shouldn't have the male roosters. The females alone produce the eggs you would want to eat....therefor no cockadoodaling
I would LOVE to have a chicken or two!!!! and they would be my pets!

The sad part about businesses who sell bamboo fabric products is that SOME don't or didn't know that it wasn't a good product. They were suckers just like us.

It's good to know the truth though!! Again, Thank GOODNESS for the internet!!!!

| Hey guys,
Have you ever wondered if you could do REALLY well investing in solar, wind or water energy and other sustainable types of goods/resources? I have too! Well, there is this E-newsletter that always sends you TONS of up to date information on hot companies/products that they (eco friendly investors) are keeping their eyes on. The catch is that they want for you to sign up with them...so that you can get you more detailed information on the specific companies/products. I'll tell you what though....the info that they send is so informative that you could pretty much figure out who (what company) they are speaking of. Not only that....but I really believe that they know the eco stock market well! Don't quote me on that
Anyway, if you would like to get the E-newsletter for yourself and see if you like the info they are sending....here you go:
 http://www.greenchipstocks.com/aqx_p/3165?gclid=CIrY5vOpvZkCFShRagodvAO-5w

Remember every E-Newsletter is about some company or product that is going to be hot and the reason why. They actually had some info on a company that had invented the type of solar paint....therefor making it a good choice to invest in on before their stocks go up in price/value.

Anyway....If any of you invest....then it should be in GREEN STOCKS! We must help our green economy GROW! One way to do that is by investing in GREEN COMPANIES!

 Happy Growth!

The sad part about businesses who sell bamboo fabric products is that SOME don't or didn't know that it wasn't a good product. They were suckers just like us.

It's good to know the truth though!! Again, Thank GOODNESS for the internet!!!!

Don't the hens have to fornicated by the roosters so that the little tadpoles can swim to the eggs and be protein-enriched.

Having raised several hundreds of chickensd in my olife-time - I can tell you with certainty - NO - there is no copulation necessary for hens to lay egs. They will just be infertile eggs (won't ever hatch into chicks) and entirely edible.
