Someone was waiting for Conner when he returned to the tavern, someone from the old days, from when he was just another hired soldier in a strangers army. There was only one reason for this person to be here, Conner walked over to the mans table and sat down.

"Why are you here? Its a long way from any battlefield."

The man slid a piece of paper across the table in reply. "They're calling in all the old contracts, yours included. Its time to finish what we started" He then stood and tossed a few coins on the table, "the others are gathering in a town at the foot of these mountains, we will wait for you there."

A short time later Conner stood on the outskirts of the town looking back in. He had grown attached to this place he realized, few places such as this still exist in the world. Maybe, just maybe he would have a place to return to this time.

With this thought in mind Conner turned and started away, his heart singing with the joy of being on the open road once more. Yes it was time.

*Lidia gives a short waves with her paw as the young ferret watch her black wolf friend, Mr. Connor, walks out of the town and into the forest.*

Kinda hard to say the word "Goodbye" to someone when knowing that he/she might come back someday.

Take care of yourself, Mr. Conner. Come back safe and sound. ^w^
