And, I do find one of the more cuter pictures Vanessa has drawn is where Caroline is helping a customer light his cigar, and the customer is like... 50% taller than Caroline is. Not really sure why, just... that it appeals to me. ))

I like seeing these height differences in the comic as well. Especially when the Royal avatars interact with others characters. I can't wait to see how Constance compares to Red. |

I've included your fursona as 5' 10"(for now) because that's what your description in the avatar request thread says, though I personally view her as shorter than that. 5' 6" or 5' 7" sounds right to me. |

((Hey Symphony,
Odd sort of fashion / height question based on you recording the heights of the girls.
Were heels common in the late 1890s? What I mean is, I've seen the old advertisements for ladies shoes, and they have a spot of heel on them, but... nothing more than like an inch or so. Even most of the heels that Vanessa draws her girls with are more of a working height, and not a glamour height. A "working height" being an inch or so, while "glamour" is more along a 3 inch or higher, so as to make the girl appear that much taller. So... were ladies shoes of the time pretty much flats? )) |

I'm no expert, but I suspect that shorter heels were the fashion then. And I imagine that they were not strongly made enough to support really large heeled shoes without some notable expense, anyway.
Besides, I think small and adorable was considered possibly more appealing than tall and striking. |

Considering that men enjoyed women smaller since it allowed them to assert more dominance, rather than taller where it would take that sense of pride away. |
