So I'm watching NatGeo Wild and saw an advertisement for a shark show. They spoke to an expert who stated some statistics...
Dog kill about half a million people a year...
Coconuts kill 25 people a year...
Sharks kill 10 people a year...

Hold up, coconuts kill more people than sharks?

WTF!?

You have to wonder if the deaths are from the Coconuts falling on people; or from allergic reactions from them.

Can't say I've ever heard of someoen being allergic to a cocnut, but it certainly makes you think. Still... I'll never look at a coconut the same again. It's kind of odd to think about... a coconut next to a shark and the round hairy brown ball is more dangerous than the beast with several rows of razor sharp teeth.

Ah Coconuts are vicious bastards. That's why in Britain we have Coconut shys, where they are restrained and people pay money for the privilige of throwing wooden balls at them. Hangings too good for them!

In fact there is a old west country saying about coconuts:
"It be big and it be brown and it hairy and I be afraid of it!"

Apparently, lightning kills about 58 people per year (based on a 30 year average). That's right, you're more likely to die by getting struck by lightning than by being killed by a shark.

I find it hard to believe that something in a hard shell that I find in pies and candies can kill more people than sharks.

acutly to be turth ful human blood to a shark is not going to trigger a feeding frenzy in fact their bites are more to test you.. they did a blod scent test on a shark and it liked squid more then human blood so really we are like the least eaten candy to them we good once in a while but we tastes horid.. :3 (been watching shark week to much.)

Yeah. It's the swimsuits people wear, apparently sharks mistake us for things like seals. They don't actually intend to eat humans, it's all a big misunderstanding. Razz

i feel bad for great whites... did you know theres a place where bull sharks sit under fishermens boats and eat there catch before the reel it it in... O.o
